Massage Therapy – Ms Stephanie Borg
While massage may have developed a reputation as a self-indulgent treat for people who love pampering, new studies are showing that it has a wide variety of tangible health benefits.
A good massage is truly a treat and offers many health benefits. If you need or want a massage, Stephanie offers different massage therapies, with a wide variety of pressures, movements and therapeutic techniques, all treating different needs.
She believes that Body awareness is where it all starts. Without it, we blindly go through our day not realizing how our movements, responses, sensations and feelings affect our health.
As a massage therapist for many years, Stephanie Borg became confident that customising massage for the individual’s needs is a factual thing. With on-going massage, the muscles are loosened and relaxed-joints have greater freedom while pressure points are relieved. Massage manipulates the soft tissues and muscles to restore natural, pain free functions, treating the entire body, both the psychological and the physiological needs of clients.
Many people wait until they are already in pain or suffering injuries before turning to massage, but why let it get that bad? It is a good idea to take regular massage as a preventive measure so that such injuries do not occur. One of Stephanie’s intentions is to also teach how to perform stretching exercises, reduce stress and when to apply heat or cold compress. Specific self-care exercises become a natural extension of a massage session.
